Having just looked at my FaceBook page, after an absence of three years, I was surprised how much had changed. The latest (!) note there was about the then neew station at Bedford Falls on the MaP (Mertonford and Pine tree RR) now long gone. The building has been cut down and now serves as the station building for Ditchling Sands station on the O scale Hursley Light Railway.
A new edition of the WRG Newsletter had dropped onto the WRG member's pages, there is anticipation that there could be a pre Christmas issue some time in December. Outlining some loft changes? An overall view of my latest occupant in the loft. Hursley Next The Sea has at last had rails, wires, and power added to all of the chalk doodleing from the last couple of months One of the Hursley Light's Terriers arrives in the goods/run round loop with the first freight train to Hursley. Meanwhile the line's latest acquisition, in the real and model sense, sits in tha bay with a train for Chapelfield. The throttle cable is not long enouggh for that yet, so it will have to wait for a charged phone and the Blue Tooth throttle!
It took almost a day of fan heater assistance. But eventually the second coat of varnish progressed past the Fly-paper stage. Not hard but at least dry and non-sticky to the touch. The next four coats will have to wait until we have some warm weather and nights! A picture of the painted creek bed and the two island linked bridges across it. Still thinking about the name of the creek itself!
Not so very long ago a train belonging to the Hursley Light Railway (HLR) actually managed to complete a circuit of the loft. Eerie like this seems to have been my prime residence over the last few months. At least when not organising our recent exhibition.
